Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 417th Bombardment Group, 675th Bombardment Squadron. Next, assigned to the 312th Bombardment Group, 389th Bombardment Squadron on March 20, 1944. Assigned to pilot Hedges and crew chief Keller with tail letter 'H'. Adorned with nose art "Queen of Spades" in cursive above a spade with a Varga girl figure. This aircraft flew at least 56 combat missions.
Mission History
OnJanuary 18, 1945 crashed at Los Negros, killing both the crew plus 14 soldiers on the ground.
HAVOC A-20G "LITTLE CHIEF " USAAF, 90th BG Wartime History
Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 90th Bombardment Group, 321st Bombardment Squadron. Nicknamed "Little Chief" with the nose art of a woman wearing a leather jacket with a 90th Bomb Group patch, her legs resting on boxes stenciled "Gin Cairns" and her head on a parachute with "521" below her arm. This A-20 was used as a "fat cat" for flight from New Guinea to Australia for fresh food and alcohol.
